when he worked as a lobby director. He started in that position three years ago and his responsibilities included keeping communication open between TSA and the lobby, working on directing lines of passengers. Juan now works as a duty manager. "I serve as a liaison between Air Serv and other areas and make sure everything is running smoothly," said Juan. His background in the military, from which he retired in 1987, must come in handy.
Juan, who is originally from Puerto Rico, says he loves everything about working for Air Serv. "The people, the company, the whole nine yards," he said. He believes he received the award because of the wonderful relationship that exists between him and his people with TSA. "We have such good communication and work so wonderfully as a team," he said. "I got to develop a lot of friendships with the screening managers at TSA."
It's nice to hear they were so cheery during those early shifts - Juan's hours had been from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. He sleeps just slightly later now, working from 6:00 to 2:30.
"It's important to always have a good attitude," he said. "Just keep a smile on your face." |
