TSA PRESENTS AWARD TO WASHINGTON AIR SERV EMPLOYEE;
64 OTHER EMPLOYEES JOIN 110 PERCENT CLUB AT CEREMONY
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Transportation Security Administration presented the TSA Friendship Award to Juan Irizarry-Guiot, for his work as Air Serv's lobby director at Washington Dulles International Airport. John Lenihan, TSA's Dulles Federal Security Director, made the presentation in a ceremony at the Airport Marriott on December 14 .

which inducted 64 people into the 110 Percent Club. The company gave each inductee a pen, certificate and a check for $110. Inductees represented skills such as skycap, lobby, wheelchair and baggage handlers and, for the first time, cabin service. Next year the transportation department will be added as well.
Ed Cleavenger, the general manager of United Airlines, presented an award and round-trip tickets to Lewis Hardy, a baggage handler who went far beyond the call of duty in caring for a quadriplegic overnight.
In addition to speeches, award presentations and dinner, photographers were there to mark the occasion and a DJ provided entertainment.
"The event was well attended, " said Regional Manager Steve Wragg. "We had clients there from a number of airlines, and United even donated round-trip tickets to our auction. People from the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority were there also. We had a lot of comments from clients who said that they also work for large companies, but they had not seen an event like this before. People dressed up and it was really a special occasion."
Although Founder and Chairman Frank Argenbright was not able to attend, that didn't stop people from getting their photos taken with him.
"We had a life-size photo of him so people could pose next to him," Wragg said. "Then everyone signed the photo to present to him."
John Montgomery (VP of Safety) gave out a safety award for Dulles, where there have been 53,000 departures without an accident.
