AIR SERV OPENS FIRST INTERNATIONAL OPERATION
IN MANCHESTER, ENGLAND

ATLANTA - Air Serv, an aviation services company based in Atlanta, has opened its first operating division outside the United States in Manchester, England. Air Serv opened the office with 23 employees after it was awarded a service contract by British Midland Airlines. Air Serv has since signed contracts with other Manchester airlines.

Air Serv will provide numerous aviation services to British Midland, including passenger ticket verification, passenger profiling, boarding gate assistance, overnight baggage security and aircraft security. The work will take place at the Manchester International Airport, which is the fourth largest airport in the UK.

Mohammed Kahn, who has experience working with the previous service provider to British Midland, will serve as Air Serv's Account Manager in Manchester and will manage the staff during the three-year contract. Following the British Midland announcement, Malaysia, Singapore and Pakistan Airlines approached - and signed contracts with - Air Serv to provide similar aviation services at the Manchester Airport.
